Edna M. Packer, Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Innovis Health, Fargo, at the age of 77.
Edna May Bowden, daughter of Leet and Elsie (Watkins) Bowden, was born October 20, 1931 in Shenandoah, Iowa. She grew up in Iowa, Missouri, and in Minnesota, including Barnesville, MN, where she was married to Lloyd Packer on March 3, 1949.
Following their marriage they lived in Barnesville, until 1968, when they moved to Moorhead. Edna worked at the Ramada Inn, One Hour Martinizing and did home day care, all in Moorhead. She enjoyed going to the lake, playing bingo, watching Minnesota Twins baseball games, and going to garage sales. In June of 2008, Edna became a resident of Golden Living Center, Moorhead.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd, Moorhead; daughters, Sharon (Richard) Harding, Battle Lake, MN, and Debora (Dale) Rickford, Casselton, ND; sons, Leonard (Judy) Packer, Big Lake, MN and Gary (Brenda) Packer, Wadena, MN; and sisters, Cora Yarber, Minneapolis, MN and Jean (Eben) Estle, Sabetha, Kansas; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, a sister, Lela, and a brother, Paul.
