Edward L. Losinski, 71, of Dilworth, MN, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.
Edward Louis Losinski was born July 8, 1941, at Sauk Center, MN, the son of Sig A. and Catherine (Sikorski) Losinski. He was raised at Georgetown, MN, and graduated from Felton (MN) High School in 1959. After graduation from high school he began farming with his father.
He was united in marriage to Florence Meronek and they made their home in Georgetown before moving to West Fargo, ND. He then began working as a carpenter for many years, working for Dave Halvorson Construction, Stenerson Lumber, and Key Contracting. On February 13, 1976, he was united in marriage to Sharon Mortenson in Sisseton, SD. They made their home in West Fargo before settling in Dilworth, where they have lived through the years.
Edward loved spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed spending time at the lake on his houseboat, snowmobiling, playing cards, and leisurely drives. Trips to Las Vegas over the years also were very enjoyable.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Dilworth; children, Tom (Cheryl) Losinski of Stevens Point, WI, John Losinski of Fargo, Vanessa Losinski of Stevens Point, Mari (Robert) Berggren of Dilworth, Shannon (Mariam) Mortenson of Catlett, VA, and Christie Dudley of Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Brett, Brandon, Dakotah, Braden, Lane, Kelen, Garret, Scarlett and Adam.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Logan; and sister, Mary Theresa Losinski.
Visitation: Thursday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Mass: Friday, January 25, 2013, at 2:00 PM, in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
