Effie Fevig was born March 18, 1901, to Gustave and Emma Fevig, on a farm near Ulen, MN. Effie attended school in District 54, near Ulen.
Effie was united in marriage to Clifford Erickson on December 19, 1921 and he died May 17, 1922. She married Albert Rost, October 8, 1928, in Grand Forks, ND, and they lived and farmed near Ulen. They moved to Moorhead, MN, when they retired from farming.
Albert died November 13, 1964, and Effie continued to live in Moorhead. She entered Moorhead Manor in April of 1999. Effie died Sunday, December 12, 2004, in Villa Maria, Fargo, ND, at one hundred three years of age.
Effie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Urban, Fargo; three granddaughters, Diana Louise Urban, Lakeville, MN, Marcia Elizabeth Urban, Minneapolis, MN, and Lisa (Craig) Ritzinger, Eden Prairie, MN; four great-grandsons, Thomas and Benjamin Valandra, Minneapolis, and Henry and George Ritzinger, Eden Prairie.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Effie was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret, on July 21, 1961.
The funeral for Effie will be Thursday, December 16, 2004, at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in West Ulen Cemetery, Ulen.
