Elaine Adsero, 92, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Eventide Fargo, after a short battle with lymphoma.
Elaine Albertine Poss was born at her home, by a midwife, on September 1, 1925, in Vergas, MN. She was the daughter of Fred and Erna (Thom) Poss. Elaine grew up on the family farm with her three siblings and graduated from Pelican Rapids (MN) High School.
After graduating high school, Elaine moved to Fargo, where she attended Interstate Business College. She worked as a secretary at J.I. Case Company and later at Reger Electric where she met her husband, Arthur (Art) Adsero. They married on June 18, 1950, at St. Paul's Loon Lake Lutheran Church. They were blessed over the years and had seven children. Art and Elaine became active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1953, where Elaine served in several leadership positions including the President of the Relief Society. She and Art would later serve as Temple workers at the Jordan River Temple in Utah.
After retirement, Elaine and Art enjoyed traveling throughout the states to visit their children and grandchildren. They loved to be of service and helped with several of their children's home building projects. Elaine enjoyed visiting with her loved ones, playing games, going on vacations with her daughters and granddaughters, and baking (her lefse and rosettes were the very best!). She also did extensive genealogy work and traveled to Germany and Norway.
Elaine is survived by her children, Richard Adsero, Marlys Vaughan, Judy Ewing, James Adsero, Wayne Adsero, Janice Daly, and Ann Blotsky and their spouses; her 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; siblings, Alice, Delia and Gordon; and grandson, Christopher.
We want to send a special thank you to the staff at Eventide Fargo and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their loving and exceptional care of our sweet Elaine. Elaine had great joy in her heart and found beauty and goodness in all things.
Visitation begins at 10 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM.
