Elaine Baron

November 29, 1927 — March 4, 2012

Elaine Baron, age 84, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Pioneer House Assisted Living, Fargo, where she became a resident on February 18, 2011.
Elaine, the daughter of Richard and Goldie (Skeie) Baron, was born in McClusky, ND, on November 29, 1927. She grew up and received her education in Denhoff, ND. In 1945, her family moved to Fargo. Elaine attended and graduated in 1949, from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
Elaine worked as a statistician for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she continued to work for 33 years. She was a member of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo, where she was active in Bible studies, women's circles, quilting, as a Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir. She was very proud of her German-Norwegian heritage, which led her to serve as a regular volunteer for more than 25 years at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. Elaine was a strong supporter of both Oak Grove Lutheran High School and Concordia College.
Elaine is survived by her brother, Robert (Sue) Baron, of Charles City, Iowa; two nephews, Mark (Karen) Baron, and their daughter, Jessica, and Paul (Kelly) Baron, and their children, Anna and Isaac; and two nieces, Rachel (James) Hanson, and their children, Megan and Timothy, and Sarah (David) Sullivan, and their sons, Nolan and Brady. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Goldie and Richard Baron.
Memorials preferred to Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Concordia College, and Oak Grove Lutheran School.

Visitation: Wednesday, 4 PM to 6 PM, with a service at 4 PM;
Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead
