Elaine Jeglum, 98, Fargo, ND, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Elaine Orpha Rudella Tangen, the daughter of Simon and Anna (Brekken) Tangen, was born in Pekin, ND, on September 6, 1911. She grew up and received her education in Pekin, where she graduated from high school. Elaine received her nursing degree from Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
On June 16, 1937, Elaine married Orlando Jeglum. They made their home in Grand Forks, until they retired and moved to their lake home near Bemidji, MN. Winters were spent for a number of years in Mesa, AZ. On April 25, 1985, Orlando died. Following his death, Elaine moved to Fargo to live.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Ann (David) Erickson, Park Rapids, MN, and Barbara (Dick) Gast, Fargo; four grandchildren, Jeff Erickson, Jennifer (Chad) Raan, Scott Gast, and Mike (Kelli) Gast; and four great-grandchildren, Hailey and Ethan Raan; and Parker and Tyler Gast.
