Eleanor L. Spiesz, 91, died on Monday, September 24, 2007, at Villa Maria, Fargo, ND.
Eleanor Luella (Fuchs) Spiesz was born April 4, 1916, in Glyndon, MN, the daughter of George and Agnes (Buth) Fuchs. Eleanor was united in marriage to Woodrow Albert Spiesz on March 5, 1938, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN. She is survived by and was a beloved mother to Gerald (Linda), Lake Park, MN, Orville (JoAnn), Moorhead, Judith (Stephen) Schwanke, Sartell, MN, and Ronald, Miami, OK. Eleanor is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one brother, Carl Spiesz, Miami, OK.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow; daughter, Joann; sisters, Evelyn and Leona; brothers, Wallace and Elmer.
Eleanor made her home in Moorhead and her lake home on Middle Cormorant, which was always open to all. She traveled extensively, gardened with passion, laughed with ease, and faithfully awaited joining her husband once more in heaven.
We will miss you and cherish our memories of you.
Visitation is on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
The Funeral will be on Thursday, 9/27/07, at 10 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial is in Oak Mound Cemetery in rural Kragness, MN.
