Eleanora McGregor

May 30, 1920 — October 14, 2006

Eleanora Mae Hanson, the daughter of Herman and Clara (Enemark) Hanson, was born May 30, 1920 at Dalton, MN. As a young child she moved with her family to Lamberton, MN, where she grew up and received her education.
On December 18, 1941, Eleanora was united in marriage to Orval McGregor at Redwood Falls, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Seattle, WA and Redwood Falls. In 1945, they moved to Moorhead, MN, where they have lived since. Eleanora worked as an issuing librarian at George Washington Elementary School in Moorhead for 13 years. She retired in 1984. Eleanora enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting and sewing.
Eleanora died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at her home in Moorhead under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by two brothers, Homer and Reuben.
She is survived by her husband, Orval, Moorhead; a daughter, Sandra (Wayne) Heiden, West Fargo, ND; two sons, Lowell (Pauline) McGregor, Fridley, MN, and Steven (Sandy) McGregor, Walcott, ND; four sisters, Claire Griffith, Delafield, WI, Dorothy Schwartz, McFarland, WI, Joyce (Dallas) Monson, Fargo, ND, and Darlene (Ray) Wilwant, Venice, FL; two brothers, Clayton (Delores) Hanson, Fergus Falls, MN, and Herman "Pete" Hanson Jr., Columbia Heights, MN; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, from 4 PM until 7 PM, at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service: Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at 10:30 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead.
