Elizabeth (Liz) A. Wallace, 77, died July 28, 2006, in Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Elizabeth Ann Bava, daughter of Dominico and Chiara Bava, was born June 9, 1929, in the family home in Dilworth, MN, where she grew up and attended school. Liz worked from a young adult at her parents' night club, "The Venice Gardens," in Dilworth.
Elizabeth was united in marriage to Harold Liljequist in 1949, and they raised five young children. In 1965, Liz moved with her children to Barnesville, MN. She worked at the Sis and Mars Café and loved being around people, making them laugh and giving them good times. Liz joined the Barnesville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in 1967, where she helped out with activities. Softball, bowling and taking long walks with her friends were a few of the many things she enjoyed besides raising her children.
Liz moved back to Dilworth, the place she loved the most, in 1987. She loved to visit with friends and family, mainly her sister Katherine, and especially her wonderful friend Judy (Don) Cochrell of Dilworth. They would go play games of bingo (with "lucky" items displayed) or roam the Shooting Star and Blue Wolf Casinos, to play and visit.
Liz is survived by her dear sister, Katherine Bava Gordon, Dilworth; one daughter, Katherine Liljequist, Dilworth; four sons, Steven, Morris, MN, Terry, New Hope, MN, Mark, New Hope, and Jerry (Judy) Liljequist, Dilworth; four nephews, Dominic (Patty) Gordon, Pierre, SD, Tim (Patty) Gordon, Detroit Lakes, MN, Stan (Carol) Gordon, DesMoines, WA, and Alan (Pam) Gordon, Moorhead, MN; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Liz was preceded in death by her children's father, Harold Liljquist; her parents, Dominico and Chiara Bava; and her brother, Antonio Bava.
Foremost, she truly loved spending time with her beloved companion, Jerry Davis, of Moorhead. He was a blessed gift in the last few years of her life and brought her great happiness, as did his family with the love and comfort they gave her.
