Elna I. Bolstad

Elna Irene (Johnson) Bolstad was born January 14, 1929, in Fargo, ND, to Alfred and Carmelete (Sampson) Johnson, and was raised in rural Perley, MN. Elna graduated, as class Valedictorian, from Borup (MN) High School in 1947.

Elna married Ingman O. Bolstad on June 21, 1947, in Moorhead, MN, and they lived and farmed in the Perley area. They moved to Moorhead in 1990, and Ingman died December 22, 2001. Elna continued to make her home in Moorhead. She died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead, at eighty-six years of age.

Elna is survived by her children, Marsha (Lee) Reddig, Arlen (Beth) Bolstad, and Gayle (Mike) Mabry; stepchildren, Rodney Bolstad, and Kay Bestgen; eight grandchildren, Sara (Scott) Hondl, and their children, Sam and Lucas, Brad (Sheryl) Reddig, and their children, Zac and Hope, Jeff Reddig, Joanna Bolstad, Emma Bolstad, Thomas Bolstad, Ryan Mabry, and Lauren Mabry; and four stepgrandchildren, Thane Bolstad, Kathryn Bolstad, and her children, Ryleigh and Hans, Jennifer Bolstad, and Jill Papamichael, and her children, Zoe, Alex, and Mia; a brother, Erling Johnson; and a sister, Shirley Johnson.

Visitation for Elna will be Sunday, May 10, 2015, from 4 - 6 PM, with a prayer service at 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral will be Monday, May 11, 2015, at 11 AM, in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead. Burial will take place in Landstad Lutheran Cemetery, rural Perley.

Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice.
