Eric N. Granlund, 42, Erhard, MN, formerly of Dilworth, MN, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, near Fergus Falls, MN, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Eric Norman Granlund was born July 7, 1965, in Fargo, ND, to Norman and Sylvia (Rieke) Granlund. He was raised in Moorhead, MN, until 1976 when the family moved to Dilworth. Eric graduated from Dilworth High School and worked for a period of time with his dad for George Haggart, Inc. Eric then began working as a big machine operator for Fagen Industries and was currently working as a crane operator in Hankinson, ND.
Eric loved riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, and was an avid animal lover. He also enjoyed old cars, especially his 1970 Charger. Most of all, Eric was a generous and caring friend who was a good listener.
Eric is lovingly survived by his sweetheart, Theresa Krupa, Erhard, and her children, Kris Schwartz, Fergus Falls, and Charles Schwarts, Sartell, MN; his parents, Norman and Sylvia Granlund, Dilworth; three sisters, Edna (Robert) Wentland, Boulder, CO, Naomi (Warren) Kluever, Moorhead, and Julie (Daniel) Hull, Hawley, MN; and two nephews, Miles and Evan Wentland. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation: Thursday from 5 - 8 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM.
Funeral: Friday, June 20, 2008, at 11 AM, in Dilworth Lutheran Church.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
