Eric V. Reck died Thursday, January 4, 2007, in his home in Moorhead, MN, at the age of 22.
Eric Von Reck was born October 2, 1984, in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Moorhead graduating in 2004 from Moorhead High School. He went on to attend the Minnesota State Community and Technical College for a year.
During the summers, Eric worked at various neighborhood parks. He was a staff member with Moorhead Parks and Recreation where he assisted with the adaptive swim. Currently, Eric was employed at the Learning Patch Daycare, Fargo. He was also working at Minnesota State University, Moorhead, developing and implementing computer software for children with disabilities.
Eric enjoyed spending time with his friends and could often be found organizing their get-togethers. He loved the outdoors, which included spending time at the lake and fishing. He would ride his bike everywhere and often attended sporting events.
The holidays were very important to him and he was a loyal and caring son and grandson. He had a zest for life and participated in the theatre, where he would put his natural acting abilities to use.
Eric is lovingly survived by his parents, George and Roberta Reck, Moorhead; his grandmother, Mary Jean Roysland, Fosston, MN, aunts and uncles, Mike (Kim) Roysland, Fosston, Kay (Rodney) Ford, Cocoa, FL, Jackie Reck, St. Pete's, FL, and Jerry (Jane) Reck
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Roysland and Delbourne and Catherine Reck; and an aunt, Pat Roysland.
The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
The funeral will be on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 12 noon in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead. Burial in Landsverk Cemetery, Fosston.
