Ervin "Hod" E. Gravalin, 85, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Ervin "Hod" E. Gravalin was born May 23, 1920, to Leslie and Martha (Younker) Gravalin, in Moorhead, where he was raised and received his education. He entered the US Army June 3, 1942, and served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign. Following his discharge on Oct. 13, 1944, Ervin returned to Moorhead and began working for the Great Northern Railway, in Dilworth, MN.
He was united in marriage to Elaine Thompson, July 14, 1947, in Moorhead, where they made their home. Ervin soon began working for the City of Moorhead, reading residential utility meters. He retired in 1985 and they continued to reside in Moorhead.
Hod is survived by his wife, Elaine, Moorhead; one daughter, Linda (Charles) Cook, High Hill, MO; two sons, Dan (Lisa), Moorhead, and Mike, Fargo; ten grandchildren, Scott, Danielle, Robert, Shawn, Christopher, Tammy, Michael Jr., Kelly, Kevin, and Curt;
Visitation: Friday, April 28, 2006; 5 - 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Saturday, April 29, 2006, 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
