Ethel O. Anderson, 94, long time Perley, MN resident, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND, where she had been a resident since June of 2007.
Ethel O. Moe, was born September 14, 1913 to Alfred and Nettie (Bredeson) Moe, in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in the Georgetown, MN area, where she attended school. On July 18, 1931, Ethel was married to Joe M. Anderson, at Perley, MN. They farmed and raised nine children on the family farm. She was a long time member of Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley, where she was active in women's groups, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Her husband, Joe, died in 1977.
She is survived by seven daughters and a son: Darlene (Tom) Todd, Perley, Alice Dosland, Fargo, Irene (Dick) Mathison, Jacksonville, FL, Carol (DuWayne) Lydeen, Allyn, WA, Donald "Skip" (Patrice) Anderson, Osage, MN, Gladys (Allan) Richards, Hastings, MN, Linda Magnuson, Fargo, and Marlys (Andy) Guttormson, Georgetown; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Lillian Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; son, Lloyd "Sonny Boy"; daughter and son-in-law, Diann and Larry Renshaw; two granddaughters, Pam Renshaw and Rhonda Magnuson; her parents; and two brothers and their wives, Alvin and Alline Moe and Mons and Nellie Moe.
Visitation: Monday, 4 PM top 7 PM,

Funeral service: Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 2 PM,
Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley, MN.
Burial: Kirkebo Lutheran Cemetery, rural Perley.
