Ethelyn Estrin

Ethelyn Anderson was born March 25, 1919, to Anton and Ingeborg "Emma" (Gunderson) Anderson in Hawley, MN, where she grew up and attended school.

On March 23, 1939, Ethelyn married Clifford Estrin. They lived in Hawley, Seattle, WA, Hibbing, MN, and Glyndon and Barnesville, and Pelican Rapids, all MN. After Clifford died in 1982, Ethelyn moved to Moorhead, MN, where she was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. In 2004, she moved to Montevideo, MN. Ethelyn loved to read, garden, and decorate her home. She truly enjoyed her "birthday trips" with her daughters. She like helping people, and she truly loved her family and her faith.

Ethelyn died Monday, April 27, 2015, in the Clarkfield (MN) Care Center, at the age of 96. She is survived by daughters, Joanne (John) Gedker, Austin, MN, Joyce (Dennis) Johnk, Montevideo, and Lynda (Lowell) Schultz, also Montevideo; daughter-in-law, Carol Estrin; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Gary; grandson, Dan Gedker; her parents; five sisters, Selma Anderson, Inga Balliet, Amy Sunderland, Norma Kronbeck, and Ella Anderson; and five brothers, Alfred, Ingvald, "Little" Arthur, Arthur, and Ernest Anderson.

Ethelyn's funeral service is Monday, May 4, 2015, at 11 AM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Visitation is an hour prior to funeral.

Burial will follow the funeral at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Pelican Rapids, MN.
