Eugene G. Perry

Eugene George Perry was born April 4, 1928, to George and Emma Albers Perry, in Hannover, ND, where he attended school. He married Annie Unruh at Casselton, ND, on October 14, 1965. In 1967, they moved to Fargo, ND, and Gene was employed as a custodian for St. Luke's Hospital. He retired in 1993.

Gene went into the US Army on December 1, 1948. He was stationed in Fort Riley, KA, Fort Benning, GA, and Bamberg, Germany. He was discharged in Chicago, IL. After his discharge, Gene had a variety of different jobs, mainly as a farm hand. While working at the Casselton Creamery, he met his lovely wife, Annie, who was also working there. He had a very special place in his heart for Annie.

Gene passed away April 2, 2015, at 86 years of age.

Gene is survived by a sister, Lucille Heinle, Dickinson, ND; and nephews, Delano Oster, Sherman (Eileen) Goplen, Marvin (Vickie) Goplen, Galen (Donna) Heinle, Gary Heinle and Mark Heinle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie, on September 12, 1999; sisters, Evelyn Oster Morast and Mildred Goplen; and a nephew, Douglas Oster.

From the Unruh family, he is survived by sister-in-law, Helen (Kenny) Johnson; and brothers-in-law, Harold (Lila) and Orville Erickson. He was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Ella Harmon and Anita Erickson; and brothers-in-law, Wesley, William and Alvin Unruh.

He was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
