Eunice E. Dickelman, 78, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Sabin, MN, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Eunice Elaine Buth was born August 18, 1928, to Eddie and Elsie (Johnk) Buth in rural Sabin, where she grew up and attended country school. Eunice worked various jobs in the Sabin community until starting the Sabin Café in the 1940's with her brother, Harry.
On June 5, 1948, Eunice married Darryl A. Dickelman in Sabin, where they made their home. Eunice continued to work at the café while lovingly raising their four boys. She then worked for fourteen years at the Better Half, Moorhead, retiring as manager of the store.
In her retirement Eunice enjoyed spending time at Lake Seven where she cooked and cared for many of the children who spent their summers at the lake. She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, and she liked to embroider and cross-stitch.
She is survived by her husband, Darryl, Moorhead; three sons, Richard (Rita), Moorhead, Fred (Peggy), Moorhead, and Keith (Kim), Longmont, CO; a daughter-in-law, Teri Dickelman, Moorhead; a sister, Arliss Thomas, Fargo; a brother, Arlen (Ione) Buth, Bloomington, MN; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kevin; and a brother, Harry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice in memory of Eunice.
Visitation: Friday from 6 - 8 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Prayer Service: Friday at 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 3, 2007, at 11 AM, Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin.
Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin.
