Evelyn B. Carlson

Evelyn was born June 5, 1920, to Albert and Lillie (Walck) Schultz, in Frazee, MN, where she was raised and received her education.
She was united in marriage to Ralph L. Carlson on August 27, 1950, in Detroit Lakes, MN, and they made their home in Moorhead, MN. Evelyn volunteered many hours at Harbor School in Moorhead. She and Ralph devoted much of their lives caring for their daughter, Gloria, who is handicapped. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Ralph preceded Evelyn in death on November 28, 2005. Evelyn died peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Moorhead, at ninety-two years of age.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Pete) Bouton-Ellingson, and Gloria Carlson, both Moorhead; one granddaughter, Tami (Rick) Olsen, Moorhead; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Rudy Schultz, California; sister, Adeline Simon, New Prague, MN; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Schultz, Frazee.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by a grandson, Pete Bouton, four brothers and three sisters.
A Memorial Service for Evelyn will be Friday, July 20, 2012, at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
