Evelyn B. Crone

Evelyn B. Crone, age 81, Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, in Innovis Health, in Fargo, ND.
Evelyn Bernice Hauff, the daughter of John and Irene Hauff, was born near Golden Valley, ND, on March 13, 1928. She grew up and received her education in the Golden Valley area, where she graduated from high school. Evelyn received her teaching certificate from Dickinson (ND) State Teacher's College, and taught school in rural North Dakota schools.
Evelyn attended Northwest Bible College in Minot, ND, where she met William J. Crone. She and Bill were united in marriage at Bozeman, MT, on June 23, 1951. Following their marriage they first lived in Montana. They lived in a number of North Dakota communities including Haynes, where Evelyn taught elementary school. In 1962, the family moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area, where they had lived since.
Evelyn was a wonderful wife and mother. She was active in her church, where she played organ and taught Sunday School. She delivered newspapers in her neighborhood for a number of years. She was a good homemaker and an excellent gardener. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Bill, Moorhead; a daughter, Pam (Jerry) Lystarczyk, Downey, CA; two sons, Timothy (Rhona) Crone, Gillette, Wyoming, and Michael Crone, Fullerton, CA; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Phyllis Graves, Plant City, FL, and Virginia (Dewey) Huffstutler, Land O Lakes, FL; brothers, Reinhold (Odella) Hauff, Golden Valley, Elmer (Darlene) Hauff, St. Anthony, ND, and Leroy (Linda) Hauff, Dade City, FL; and sister-in-law, Wilma Hauff, Wahpeton, ND. She was preceded in death by two sons, an infant son, and Daniel, who died at age 17; her parents; and a brother, Eugene.
Visitation: Wednesday, 5 PM to 7 PM, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service: Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 10:30 AM, in Church of God - Family Worship Center, 1419 17th Street South, Fargo, ND.
