Evelyn Faye Leach was born April 2, 1920, in Elkton Township, near Downer, MN, to Eugene and Eva (McCoy) Leach. Evelyn was raised in the Glyndon, MN, area where she attended rural school for her education.
Evelyn was united in marriage to Ernest Rehder on November 30, 1946, in Moorhead, where they made their home. Ernest preceded her in death on December 15, 2003, and she continued to make her home in Moorhead.
Family was very important to Evelyn, spending time with her children, grandson, and great-grandchildren. She crocheted afghans, played cards and enjoyed reading in her spare time. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Larry (Carolyn) Rehder, Boulder City, NV, and Dale Rehder, West Fargo, ND; one grandson, Shawn (Lisa) Rehder, Fort Campbell, KY; and thee great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Katilyn, and Brandon Rehder.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Evelyn will be Friday, September 5, 2008, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her memorial service will be Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 11 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
