Evelyn Radke, 93, Fargo, ND, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016, in Essentia Health, Fargo.
Evelyn was born March 18, 1923, in Polk County, MN, to Gilbert and Tillie Tofsly. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN. Evelyn graduated from high school in 1941.
She moved to Fargo and worked at Welu Dental Laboratory, Fargo Foundry, Fairmont Creamery, Armour Packing Plant, and Eddy's Coffee Shop. Evelyn graduated from Interstate Business College in Fargo, having studied accounting and income tax. She was employed at North Dakota State University from 1952 to 1985.
Evelyn married Paul Radke, of Fargo, on June 23, 1986, in Webster, SD. She attended First Lutheran Church in Fargo. Three words describe how Evelyn lived her life - faith, love, and benevolence.
Evelyn is survived by her stepdaughter-in-law, Alice Radke, Hastings, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband (April 10, 1996); sisters, Hazel (Yngve) Swenson, and Ida; brother, Bernie (Doris); and friend, Eiline Nelson.
Evelyn's family would like to thank everyone who visited or telephoned Evelyn. Special thanks to the staff of Elim Rehab and Care Center; her cousins, Iona and Marvel; and her long-time friend, Shirley Walker.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM, followed by a funeral at 10 AM, Friday, November 18, 2016, in Elim Rehab and Care Center Chapel, Fargo. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
