Evelyn S. Mattson, age 95, Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Evelyn Sylvia Mattson was born on the farm on April 17, 1912, in Morken Township, MN, to Ole and Bertha Mattson. She worked as a cook at MSU Club Café and for Kvamme Construction, cleaning office and family dwellings, but otherwise worked on the family farm, caring for her parents. For several years she was a member of the Homemakers Club. Evelyn was a devoted woman of God, who loved people, animals, flowers, birds, plants, and nature.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Pearl Mattson, Moorhead, and Ellen Mattson, Fargo, ND; many nieces and nephews, including Marilyn (Mark) Revier, Moorhead, and Doris (Ron) Mattson-Franks, Fargo; and by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clarence R. and Harry Mattson; and two sisters, Alfreda Berg and Gladys Kragnes.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service.
Funeral Service: Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at 11 AM in
Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
