Evelyn Stusiak was born June 25, 1919, in Seattle, WA, to Carl and Thora (Jellum) Elvestad.
Evelyn, affectionately known as Evie, was married to J.C. White and they had two children, Patrick and Michael White.
Evie was married to Stanley Stusiak in 1962, and they made their home in Victorville, CA. They moved to Moorhead, MN, the following year. Evie worked as a hostess at McDonalds on Eighth Street in Moorhead for many years where she greeted her customers with a friendly smile, pleasant conversation, and an after-dinner mint.
Stanley preceded her in death on November 10, 1996, and Evie continued to make her home in Moorhead. Evie died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, in Moorhead Healthcare Center, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, at eighty-five years of age.
In addition to her husbands, her two sons, one brother and one sister preceded Evie in death.
Evie's funeral will be Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
