Florence F. Hanson passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Eventide Senior Living, Moorhead, at ninety years of age.

Florence F. Kuehl was born July 23, 1920, to Chris and Maye (Ferris) Kuehl, in Sabin, MN, where she was raised. Florence graduated from Moorhead State Teachers College Campus High School and then Minnesota State University Moorhead. Florence taught school in Tenney, MN, as well as Onan School in Clay County, and twenty-four years in Glyndon, MN, until she retired in 1984.
Florence was united in marriage to Harold J. Hanson on October 7, 1944. During World War II they lived in the Panama Canal Zone where Harold was stationed while serving in the Army Air Force. After his discharge, they returned to live in Sabin where they raised their family before moving to Moorhead in April of 1998. Harold preceded Florence in death on March 5, 2004, and Florence continued to make her home in Moorhead.
Florence is survived by her three children, Terry (Susan) Hanson, Naperville, IL; Mary Beth Hanson, Moorhead; and Chris (Lee Anne) Hanson, Moorhead; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kirsten Hanson, Kevin (Lisa) Hanson and their children, Cole and Dylan, Ryan (Jenine) Hanson and their children, Vivian and Benjamin, Bo Hanson, Nick (Erica) Hanson, and Laura Hanson; and one sister, Betty Frisch, Moorhead.
Visitation for Florence will be Sunday, November 28, 2010, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
The Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 29, 2010, at 10 AM, in St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Sabin.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Sabin.
