Frances Grace Nelson was born November 29, 1932, in Perley, MN, to Carl and Katherine (Schibsted) Nelson. Frances was raised in the Perley area where she received her education.
She was married to Alfred E. Aabye on April 20, 1968, in Perley, and they made their home in Moorhead, MN. Alfred died on November 6, 1986, and Frances continued to make her home in Moorhead.
Frances worked at George Washington Elementary School for a time, and later at the Viking Room in the Moorhead Holiday Mall.
Frances died Friday, April 11, 2014, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead, at eighty-one years of age.
She is survived by her two daughters, Katie (Brian) Jensen, Moorhead, and Karen (Chris) Skeldum, Fargo, ND; five grandchildren, Alex, Brianna, Cassie, Christopher II (Laci), and Brett; and a brother, George (Betty) Nelson, Perley.
In addition to her husband, Frances was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Edwin and Robert.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, with a funeral at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will be in Kirkebo Lutheran Cemetery, Perley.
Memorials are preferred to Roger Maris Cancer Center, Fargo.
