Francis "Gordy" Carlson, 78, Longmont, CO, formerly of Horace, ND, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in LifeCare Center, Longmont.
Francis Gordon Carlson, son of John and Martha (Roe) Carlson, was born February 14, 1931, in Fargo, ND, where he grew up. In 1951, he was married to Donna Johnson.
On February 26, 1977, Gordy married Charlotte Oak. They lived in Horace, ND, where Gordy owned and operated Horace Supply for 20 years. In 1982, they moved to Longmont, where they have lived since.
Gordy was a man of deep faith, who loved his Lord. He had a positive outlook on life and was a hard worker. Above all, he was a family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
Gordy is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughters, Leanne (Mark Engen) Scott, Redmond, WA, Laneil (Sam) Skaff, Moorhead, MN, Carlotta (John) Bornstein, Longmont, and Tina (Gilbert) Quintanilla, Westminster, CO; sons, Brian Oak, Fargo, and Darwin Oak, Delton, FL; brothers, John Carlson, Prescott, AZ, Alvin (Norma) Carlson, Borup, MN, and Victor Carlson, Horace; sisters, Esther (Marlin) Kusler, Kulm, ND, and Florence (Doug) Floodstrom, Clearbrook, MN; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Kevin.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral.

Burial: Horace Lutheran Cemetery, Horace.
