Frank Prim, 87 of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, in the comfort of his home and under the care of Hospice.
Frank Orris Prim was born April 30, 1921 to Frank and Hazel (Tollerud) Prim in Grenora, ND. After the death of his mother, he and his brother (Kermit) were raised by his grandparents, Ole and Anna Tollerud, in Norwegian Grove near Pelican Rapids, MN.
On May 25, 1946, Frank married Marian Johnson at North Immanuel Church in rural Pelican Rapids. They moved to Fargo, and managed Oakland Market. In 1952, they moved back to Pelican Rapids where Frank purchased his farm. In 1966, they moved back to Fargo and this time they owned and operated Oakland Market and continued to farm. Oakland Market was a gathering place for good conversation and a good cup of coffee. Frank had many friends which were a very important part of his life.
Frank was a charter member of St. John's Lutheran church and active there in Boy Scouts with his sons, who gained their Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Eagles and the Sons of Norway, where he and Marian loved to dance. They also enjoyed traveling in their motor home.
