Frederick Rosenfeldt

Frederick Rosenfeldt, son of Elmer and Mary Lou (Schenck) Rosenfeldt, was born May 4, 1951, in Moorhead, MN, where he received his education and graduated in 1969. After graduation, he attended Moorhead Technical Institution.

Fred worked as a custodian in the Moorhead school system before moving to Thief River Falls, MN. He married Phyllis Woinarowicz on May 22, 1976, in Thief River Falls. Fred was employed for several years by Hydra-Mac, Thief River Falls, as a shear operator.

On July 15, 1988, he married Dian Richter in Thief River Falls and they moved to Big Spring, TX, in 1994. He was employed by the Rip Griffith Truck Stop as a custodian. In 2002, Fred returned to Moorhead to be near his family and he made many new friends through his church. Fred moved back to Big Spring in early June of 2004, and he was married there on June 30, 2004, to JoAnn Miears. They were married fifteen days before he died of a massive stroke on Thursday, July 15, 2004, in Lubbock, TX, at the age of fifty-three.

Fred was active in the Salvation Army, attending many Bible study classes, participating in the holiday fund drives, and working in the canteen with the emergency services. He enjoyed music and was very active in singing at various church functions. He frequently attended Men's Camp in the Minnesota area during his stay in Moorhead.

Fred is survived by his wife, JoAnn, Big Spring; a son, Christopher, Levelland, TX; his mother, Mary Lou Rosenfeldt, Moorhead; two sisters, Virginia Rosenfeldt, Moorhead, and Susan (Gordon) Gruchalla, Sabin, MN; and one brother, Ernest Rosenfeldt, Moorhead.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Rosenfeldt.

Inurnment: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin, MN
