Gail Marie Bachellor, 55, Glyndon, MN, died Sunday, September 12, 2010, in St. Mary's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
Gail was born September 13, 1954, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Dorothy Mathues Glaser and Leo Glaser. She grew up in Grand Forks and attended Central High School. She married Richard Bachellor, July 16, 1973, and later moved to rural Glyndon, where they raised their three daughters in a beautiful country setting.
Gail loved the nature that surrounded her home and took in many pets throughout the years. Gail was a very spiritual person who loved jewelry, crystals and precious stones. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who always put her family first in life. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and their friends. Her spicy homemade salsa and guacamole were everyone's favorites. She was always tending to her flower gardens. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She and Richard traveled to many tropical locations. Gail loved the sandy beaches, ethnic food, warm water and sunny days of her vacations. She spent many afternoons hunting for antiques and collectibles with her friends. Gail worked for many years in home healthcare caring for the elderly and disabled. Her work was led by her heart which was obvious in her commitment and dedication to her many clients. Gail was a kind and thoughtful aunt who loved and was loved by her nieces and nephew.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Bachellor, Glyndon; three daughters, Heather (Matt) Halbakken, Whitefish, MT , Taunya Bachellor and Dennis Moran, San Diego, CA, and Malissa (Jeremy) Burnside, Barnesville, MN; grandchildren, Chandler, Mersadez and Presten Burnside, Barnesville; her mother, Dorothy Mathues Glaser, East Grand Forks, MN; stepbrothers, Gary (Susie) Glaser, Thompson, ND, and Leon (Flo) Glaser, Fountain Hills, AZ, and stepsister, Melody (Kermit) Cariveau, Grand Forks. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and uncles Louis, Jim and Cliff Mathues.
A Celebration Service will be Friday, September 17, 2010, at 11 AM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
