Gary Harlan Clarin, age 72, of Fargo died on May 8, 2011, at Sanford Health, Fargo.
Gary was born July 13, 1938, in Menahga, MN, the son of Henry and Edna (Hook) Clarin. Gary grew up and attended school in Menahga, graduating in 1956. He served in the US Army from 1961-1963.
In 1961, Gary married Linda Townley. He married Joyce Dutton in 1980.
Gary lived in the Verona, ND, area for several years while working for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. He moved to Fargo in 1973, and began working for Ulteig Engineers Inc. He retired in 2001, and enjoyed winters in Arizona.
Gary was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leon.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, Fargo; the blended families including, Gary Todd (Dawn Kragness) Clarin, Walcott, ND, Craig (Tina Trebilcock) Clarin, Mesa, AZ, Heidi (Rick) Ash, Mesa, Richard (Margaret Jarish) Dutton, Ottertail, MN, Jeff (Lisa Oleson)
Gary is also survived by sister-in-law, Lorraine Clarin, Princeton, MN; and siblings, Dale Clarin, Menahga, Joyce (Warren) Nelson, Ridgecrest, CA, Don (Marsha Christenson) Clarin, Billings, MT, Janet (Jim) Makela, Menagha, Joan (Elmer) Torma, Menagha, Jew
Gary has 12 Grandchildren: Craig Jr., Courtney, Colton, and Carter Clarin, Stephanie (Tim) Myrold, Matthew Miller, Dylan and Alyson Kerr, Tracy (Angel) Garcia, Susan (Scott) Hobbs, Tess and Lily Dutton. He also has five great-grandchildren: Alex and Ma
Visitation: Wednesday, 5 - 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.
Funeral: Thursday, May 12, 2011, at 11 AM, in Richland Lutheran Church, Walcott, ND.
