Gary Hermanson

Gary Raymond Hermanson was born June 21, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN, to Raymond and Aune Hermanson. Gary lived in Hawley, MN, for the past forty years.
Gary was one of the first eight residents at the CCRI, Hawley site, beginning in 1977. Gary died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at sixty-three years of age, at his home in Hawley.
He was employed at Heartland Industries in Clay County until recent years. Gary will be remembered for his friendly wave, his infectious grin, and his warm handshake. He loved music, wrestling, coffee, and an occasional beer.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by his three brothers, Michael (Carol) Hermanson, Perham, MN, Mark (Dorothy) Hermanson, and David Hermanson, both of Hot Springs, AR; sister, Liisa Taylor, Ozark, AR; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends and caregivers in his CCRI family.
Memorials are preferred to CCRI.
A Life Celebration service will be at 3 PM, Friday, June 16, 2017, in the CCRI Auditorium, 2903 - 15th St. S., Moorhead, MN. There will be a gathering afterwards to share memories of Gary until 4:00 PM.
