Gary Hinschberger

Gary Hinschberger, 69, of Park River, ND, formerly of Moorhead MN, died Friday, April 1, 2016, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Gary was born in Fargo, ND, March 2, 1947, to Kermit and Evelyn (Denenny) Hinschberger. He grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School. Right after graduating, he entered the US Army, served in Viet Nam, and was discharged in September of 1968. Upon returning, he started his own carpentry/remodeling business. He later worked for various courier services.

Upon retirement, Gary enjoyed spending time at the lake with his wife. Many hours were spent with a fishing rod in hand.

Gary is survived by his wife of 22 years, Karla Potter; sister, Diane (Larry) Holzer of West Fargo, ND; children, Michelle Tweten, Brian Hinschberger, and Tammy Brager, all of Fargo; five grandchildren, Mike Tweten, Nick Hinschberger, Krystal Hinschberger, Alexis Brager, and James Brager; and additional family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Keith; sisters, Carol and Tina; and a grandson, Tyler Tweten.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 5-7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will be Wednesday, April 6 at 11 AM, with Full Military Honors, in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
