Gary M. Peterson

Gary M. Peterson, 68, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at
Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.


Gary was born June 18, 1942, to Garfield and Cora (Hovdestad) Peterson in Fargo. He attended Moorhead Public Schools, graduating in 1960.


Gary worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He drove for Chubb
Ness, International Transport, and Fairway Foods, retiring in October of 1988.


Gary enjoyed gathering at McDonald's for coffee, working crossword puzzles,
and watching TV, especially if the Twins or Vikings were on. He liked
going to Red Hawks and Moorhead Spud games and fishing. He was a huge
Nascar fan of #9, Kasey Kahne, Gary's cousin. But, above all, his true
love was being able to spend time with his family.


Gary is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Christine, Moorhead;
son, Todd, and daughter, Michelle, both of Moorhead; sister, Darlene
Johnson, Fargo; his best buddy, Angel, his dog; and numerous extended family
members.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Lou Ahrens.


Visitation: Sunday from 2 - 4 PM at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.


Funeral: Monday, February 7, 2011, at 11 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran
Church, Moorhead.


Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
