Gaylan "Ike" Eisert

Gaylan Eisert, known as "Ike", age 74, of Moorhead, MN, died in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, on Monday, Feb. 13, 2006.
Gaylan O. Eisert was born November 14, 1931, in Crookston, MN. He grew up and received his education in Euclid, MN. He graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture High School in Crookston.
On March 1, 1951, Ike entered the US Navy. While in the Navy, Ike was united in marriage to Corinne Ramstad, in Crookston, on June 30, 1953. Following their marriage, they lived in Maryland and Virginia. After his discharge from the Navy on Feb. 28, 1955, the family lived in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 1956, the family moved to Moorhead, MN. Ike attended NDSU in Fargo. He worked as an insurance sales representative, primarily for Lutheran Brotherhood. He retired in 1983. After retirement, they continued to live in Moorhead.
Gaylan Eisert is survived by his wife, Corinne, of Moorhead; three sons, Michael (Judy) Eisert, Fargo, Gregory (Stacey) Eisert, Anchorage, Alaska, and Douglas Eisert, Seattle, WA; a brother, Verlyn (Devra) Eisert, Loomis, CA; five sisters, Merlene (Gordon) Radi, Alpine, CA, Estle (David) Nelson, Clearbrook, MN, Arlys Brantner, Dilworth, MN, Sheryl (Ray) Hughes, Lincoln, CA, and Claryce (Leon) Thomas, Bella Vista, Arkansas; and six grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, 4 PM to 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Prayer service: Thursday at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service: Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at 10:30 AM,in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
