George L. Gwynn

November 24, 1921 — November 15, 2004

George Lyle Gwynn was born in Tomahawk, WI, on November 24, 1921. He died suddenly of a heart attack on November 15, 2004.

George grew up in Sabin, MN, and graduated from high school at Moorhead State Teacher's College, Moorhead, MN. He served in the Navy during WWII. On April 17, 1948, George married Pat "Jean" Gasaway in Fargo, ND, where they made their home.

George started working for "Ma" Northwest Bell in 1946 where he worked for 35 years before retiring. After retirement, he worked part-time for Park Christian School as a custodian. Most of the children there loved him so much and called him grandpa.

George was a dedicated Christian and family man. He was a prayer warrior, praying daily for many years for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid student of the Bible and led several Bible studies.

We miss him terribly but know he is in heaven and we will see him again.

George is lovingly survived by his wife of fifty-six and a half years, Pat, Fargo; a son, Michael (Vickie), Elk River, MN; a daughter, Karen Vetter, Fargo; seven grandchildren, Mandy, Heather, Ivan, Melissa, Ethan, Caleb, and Mason; a daughter-in-law, Bar
