Geraldine George

March 22, 1925 — October 21, 2004

Geraldine Louise Johnson was born March 22, 1925, in Hartford, WI, to Clarence and Grace (Waters) Johnson. She grew up in Moorhead, MN, where she graduated from high school. After graduation, she attended Interstate Business College, Fargo, ND.

On June 19, 1948, Geraldine married Vane George in Moorhead. They lived in Grand Forks, ND, Rochester, NY, and Minneapolis, MN, before settling in LeSueur, MN, where they lived for many years. Geraldine eventually returned to Moorhead to be closer to her family.

Geraldine died Thursday, October 21, 2004, at the age of seventy-nine.

Gerry was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead. She enjoyed golfing, playing Bridge, finding bargains at garage sales, and "playing in the clay" (making pottery) with friends. Gerry liked to have fun and was a social butterfly. She could talk to anyone and would always make a new friend.

Gerry is lovingly survived by two sons, Van (Judy), Sioux Falls, SD and Vince (Karen), San Diego, CA; three daughters, Valerie George (Sten Henriksen), Fort Lauderdale, FL, Vanessa George, Broomfield, CO, and Victoria (James) Bruno, Foley, MN; seven grandchildren: Savannah, Nicholas, Vane, Victor, Vinton, Varrick, and Veston; a sister, Dona (Garfield) Andvik, Sabin, MN; and two brothers, David (MaryJo) Johnson, Moorhead, and Clarence "Bud" (Delores) Johnson, Fargo. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jeanne.
