Gertrude P. Rott, of Moorhead, MN, went to see the Lord, Monday, October 22, 2012, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND, surrounded by her family, at the age of 84.
Gertrude Cooper was born August 2, 1928 in Windsor, ND, the youngest of five daughters to Fred and Augusta Cooper. She was raised in Windsor and attended school. On May 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Leslie Rott.
Gertrude loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. She was also an avid baker and cook. You would always be treated to some homemade goodies and fresh coffee. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Gertrude is survived by her sons, Tom (Pauly) Rott of Fargo and Jerry Rott of Moorhead; daughters, Debbie (Gary) Peterson and Pam (Todd) Palmer both of Moorhead and LuAnn (David) Sharpe of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sister, June Peterson of Moorhead.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Leslie; and son, Richard Rott.
Gathering of Friends: Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Celebration of Life Service: Friday, October 26, 2012, at 2:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
