Gilbert Jorve

Gilbert Anton Jorve was born August 28, 1948, in Valley City, ND, to Harold and Evangeline (Thompson) Jorve. The family moved to Fargo, ND, when Gilbert was very young.
They built a home and moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1952. Gilbert owned and operated Gilbert Jorve's Portraits in Moorhead. He was also associated with United Church Directory, having taken portraits of individuals for church directories for many years.
Gilbert moved to Ada, MN, in January of 2010, to receive medical care. He died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Bridges Care Community Center in Ada, at sixty-two years of age.
Gilbert is survived by his two brothers, Norman Jorve, Faribault, MN, and Richard Jorve, Fargo-Moorhead; sister, Elaine (Adolph "Duffy") Hartl, Apple Valley, MN; nieces, Clarissa (Greg) Rice and Joy Hartl; and a nephew, Cassius (fiancée, Christa Hall) Hartl.
There will be a Celebration Service Friday, December 10, 2010, at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Visitation will be Friday after 6 PM.
Inurnment will take place in the family lot at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
