Glenn L. Imus

Glenn L. Imus, 58, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Harwood, ND, passed away June 18, 2019, after years of suffering from a traumatic brain injury and an Alzheimer's-like dementia condition (DAT.)

A Navy brat, Glenn was born July 19, 1960, in Oceanside, CA, to Lyle and Myrtle (Johansen) Imus. Glenn attended Andress High School in El Paso, TX, Huntsville High School in Huntsville, TX, and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1978. He worked for thirty-one years at American Crystal in Moorhead as a fireman, retiring as Boilerhouse Foreman in October 2013. He was a union member at BCTGM Local 167G.

Glenn loved hunting and fishing, golf, football, and baseball. An avid reader, he could polish off a book in one night. His reading tastes ran from classic American literature like "The Scarlet Letter," to Louis L'Amour westerns, and Edward Dozier's academic text on the Pueblo Indians.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to support any of Glenn's favorite activities through organizations such as Nature Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited, Little League or Legion baseball, a local literacy or summer reading program. Also consider the Mayo Clinic's Alzheimer research program or a traumatic brain injury research program; Glenn donated his brain to help others suffering from these conditions.

Glenn is survived by his siblings, Marie, Peggy, David and Alan Imus. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as an infant sister and infant brother.

Visitation for Glenn will be Tuesday, June 25, from 6 - 8 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

His funeral will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
