Glo Berg

May 17, 1926 — February 2, 2004

Glo Ardelle Grosfield, daughter of Joseph and Gladys (Birkland) Grosfield, was born May 17, 1926, in Shelly, MN, where she grew up and received her early education. She later graduated from Climax (MN) High School in 1944.
Glo was united in marriage to Alvin H. Berg in Shelly, on June 16, 1945. They made their home in several different locations before settling in Fargo in 1950. Glo worked for several years as manager of the Starlight Drive In Theater, Fargo, and later at Shakey's Pizza, also Fargo, where she retired in 1976. Glo's husband Alvin died in 1999.
Glo was a very active member of her church, including her participation in the quilters group. She loved going for drives, developing her family's genealogy, trivia, bingo, and visiting shut - in church members. Glo particularly loved her grandchildren. Glo Ardelle Berg died Monday, February 2, 2004, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
She is survived by two daughters; Ruth (David) Stensland and Anne (David) Snyder, both Fargo; two sons, Alvin (Sharon) and Richard, also of Fargo; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Davis, Olympia, WA, Dorothy Mjelde, Beltrami, MN, and Elizabeth Muhonen, Shelly; and one brother, William Grosfield, Milaca, MN. Glo was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Arnold Clayton Grosfield.
Visitation: Wednesday, February 4, 2004, from 3 - 8 PM. Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Prayer Service: Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Service: Thursday, February 5, 2004, at 2 PM, in Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo.
Interment: Sand Hill Cemetery, Climax, MN.
