Grace Clark

Grace E. Clark, age 99, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, in her home under the loving care of her family with support from Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Grace Evelyn Johnson was born May 2, 1917, to Peter and Anna (Houglum) Johnson of Hitterdal, MN. She graduated from Hitterdal High School in 1935 and attended Interstate Business College, Fargo, ND, and the Concordia Conservatory of Music, Fargo.

Grace worked as a secretary at St. Luke's Hospital and Hull Insurance Co., both Fargo. On August 4, 1944, she was united in marriage to Lyle Clark at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead. They made their home in Moorhead, and she worked with Lyle in the insurance business. She was an active member in their church and in the community. She volunteered at VA Medical Center, Eventide Lutheran Home, The Evergreens, and her church. She was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She combined her gift of piano playing with her deep faith in Jesus Christ in all she did.

Her husband, Lyle, died on May 7, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and six sisters.

Grace is survived by daughters, Terril (Tom Reinhart) Pederson, Moorhead, and Jeanne (Gary) Larson, Waseca, MN; grandchildren, Nicole Pederson, Scott Larson, Ryan Pederson, and Linda Larson; and great-grandchildren, Max and Eden.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Home Instead and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their wonderful love and care.

Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Eventide Lutheran Home, and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Visitation is Wednesday, from 4 PM until 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service is Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 11 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
