Graciela "Grace" Alcantara, 83, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Miami, FL, passed into the arm of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead with her family by her side.
Graciela Torres, the daughter of Evengalio and Anna Torres, was born June 13, 1929, in Havana, Cuba, the second oldest of three children. She grew up, attended school and married in Cuba. In 1957, she moved to New York, USA and had one child. Grace later moved to Miami, FL, where she lived for 40 years before moving to this area to be with her family. She most recently lived at Ecuman Evergreens assisted living in Moorhead.
Grace enjoyed cooking, entertaining family and friends, sewing, and regularly attending services at her church in Miami.
She is survived by her son, Daniel (Rochelle) Aceituna; and grandsons, Jacob and Zecheriah Aceituna. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bienvenido; and siblings.
Grace and her family would like to express their appreciation to the Evergreens staff and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their wonderful care and love.
Memorial Service: will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 4:00 PM in Fargo Baptist Church, Fargo, ND.
Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Forman, ND.
