Guadalupe "Lupe" Lopez

Guadalupe Lopez, known to many as Lupe, was born December 11, 1965, in McAllen, TX, to Pablo and Consuelo Morin. Lupe was raised in McAllen where she received her education.


Lupe married Miguel Lopez and they made their home in Crookston, MN. They lived for a time in St. Paul, MN, and then Seattle, WA. Lupe loved music, especially Spanish music. She was always willing to help and serve others. Despite her recent health challenges, Lupe always maintained a happy attitude.


Lupe died Thursday, September 21, 2006, in Seattle, under hospice care, at forty years of age.


Lupe is survived by her husband, Miguel, Seattle; a daughter, Consuelo Marcella Burcham, Moorhead; two sons, Clarence Michael Torres, and Pablo Damien Torres, both Palestine, TX; four brothers, Ricardo (Kathy) Morin, Granville, NY, Noe Morin, Moorhead, Alfredo Morin, St. Cloud, MN, and Pablo (Lupita) Morin, Edinburg, TX; and two sisters, Estela (Ruben) Cruz, Moorhead, and Yolanda (Alex) Torres, Palestine, TX.


Visitation for Lupe will be Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, from 5 - 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at 10:30 AM, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
