Harlan R. Hersch, 73, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, in his home.
Harlan was born on November 11, 1948, to Ralph and Ann (Wetch) Hersch, in Raleigh, ND. Harlan and his family moved to a few different places before settling down in Moorhead, where he was raised and graduated from Moorhead High School. After high school Harlan worked on various construction job sites.
Harlan was a car enthusiast and a fan of trucks, sports cars, and muscle cars. He knew every year, model, and make of muscle cars form the 60's and 70's with just a glance. Nobody was allowed to drive his truck but him; and if possible, he would have been buried with it. He enjoyed weight lifting as well as watching old western movies and comedies. Harlan had a big boisterous laugh that could make you smile just hearing it. Harlan had a kind heart and was a good person, even if he was stubborn like his dad. He loved spending time with his family and always made time for his mother. He was strong in his faith and attended mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church when he was able to.
Harlan was preceded in death by his father, Ralph; and brother-in-law, Robert Goldader. He is survived by his mother, Ann; sisters, Nadine Goldader, and Diane (Fred) Green; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Harlan on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery,
