Harris L. Kuehl, 90, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Sabin, MN, died Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Harris Leland Kuehl was born on September 6, 1920, to Henning and Dora (Lass) Kuehl on the family farm in Elmwood Township, MN. He was raised on the farm and attended rural school.
On December 27, 1942, Harris married Evelyn Andvik in Comstock, MN, and they lived and farmed in the Glyndon, MN, and Sabin area. They moved to Sabin in 1976.
Evelyn became a resident of Eventide in 2003 and died there on April 10, 2006. Harris made his home at Moorhead Manor for several years before moving to Eventide in May of 2007.
Harris liked going to the lake and fishing. He was an avid reader and enjoyed attending sporting events and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three children, Paulette Ness, Wade Kuehl, and Dayna (Richard) Sorby; a sister, Esther Bartholomaus; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Ness, Keeley Ness, Thad (Ann) Ness, Mathew Kuehl, Aaron Kuehl, Chanda (Philipp) Scherer, Brett Sorby
In addition to his wife, Harris was preceded in death by a son, Todd; a brother, Wallace; a sister, Ione (Clifford) Tonsfeldt; and three brother-in-laws, Alvin Bartholomaus, Carlott Andvik and Milo Andvik.
The Visitation for Harris will be on Monday from 5 - 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
The Funeral will be on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, with Burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin.
