Hazel A. Herwick, 87, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, Nov 12, 2007, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Hazel Alice Olsen was born September 29, 1920, to Edith and Raymond Olsen near Glenfield, ND, where she attended elementary and high school. She earned her teaching degree at Mayville (ND) State University after which she taught for ten years in North Dakota schools.
On July 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Edwin N. Herwick, in Glenfield. They lived in Nome, Grandin, Clifford, and Kindred, ND, and Glyndon, MN. In 1984, they moved to Moorhead. Hazel continued to live in Moorhead after Edwin's death in 1999, and became a resident of Eventide in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister.
Hazel is survived by one niece, Edith Lippard, West Fargo, ND, and one nephew, Mark Bjorke, St. Cloud, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church.
Funeral Service: Friday, November 16, 2007, at 10:30 AM in Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND
