Heidi Ann Rogers, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on May 19, 1970, in Moorhead, MN, to Larry and Janet (Johnson) Rogers. Her journey through life began with a foundation of faith as she was baptized and confirmed at St. James United Church of Christ. Growing up in Barnesville, she radiated joy and energy, participating in cheerleading while playing clarinet in the band and creating lasting friendships. Heidi proudly graduated with the Class of 1988.
Following her passion for beauty, Heidi attended Rita’s Beauty College, becoming a hairdresser and sharing her talent with the community at establishments such as Uptown Hair, Trim 7, and the Schear Shop. Life took her on a beautiful path that included a period in Hawley before moving to Downer, MN, and then into Barnesville in 2010. Beyond hairstyling, she also dedicated her time to cleaning homes, always bringing a touch of care to those she served. Heidi's heart truly shone in her role as a paraprofessional in the Barnesville Public Schools, where she nurtured and supported many students.
To Heidi, family was everything. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and she would drop anything to lend a helping hand. She passionately cheered for the Barnesville Trojan sports teams, relishing every moment spent watching her kids compete. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her cherished moments at the lake, time spent gardening, and adventures hunting and fishing with loved ones. Heidi also found joy and camaraderie in her book club, embracing her vibrant spirit through running and spending time with friends. Through the trials of life, especially during her courageous battle with cancer, Heidi leaned on her strong faith, which provided comfort and strength.
Heidi’s legacy lives on through her three cherished children: Trista (Alex) Ames of Hawley, MN; Kymberly (Sean) McGuire of Sartell, MN; and Eric Ackerson of Barnesville. She was a proud grandmother to Sawyer Ames, Ella McGuire, and Charlie Ames, who brought her endless joy. Heidi is also survived by her significant other, Jim Konze of Fargo, ND and his son Hunter Konze; her loving parents, Larry and Janet Rogers of Barnesville, her siblings, Philip (Jill) Rogers of Barnesville, and Gretchen (Kent) Halvorson of St. Michael, MN; nieces and nephews Wendell Rogers, Caleb Rogers, Alexis Halvorson, and Courtney Halvorson; and a vast circle of dear friends.
With her family by her side, Heidi passed away on October 29, 2024, at Sanford Broadway Hospital in Fargo, ND, after a brave fight against cancer. Her laughter, warmth, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
