Heidi Crist Nolywaika, age 60, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Essentia Health, Fargo.
Heidi Maria Crist was born March 2, 1952, in Mainz, Germany, to Wilbur and Maria Crist. She celebrated her first birthday in the middle of the ocean, while on the way to America. The family lived in several small towns in Minnesota, before they settled in Glyndon, MN, where Heidi graduated from high school.
Over the years, Heidi was employed as a waitress at several different restaurants, salad chef and food stylist for Holiday Inn, and as a sales associate at Walmart. Her favorite job was as a respiratory therapist for Dakota Hospital.
Heidi's hobbies included cooking and baking, raising organic vegetables, singing, dancing, crafts, and visiting with friends. She enjoyed nature, traveling, visiting parks and camping.
Heidi is survived by her mother, Maria Crist, Moorhead; a sister, Bernadette (Chris) Pinotti, Dilworth, MN; nephew, Kyle Hanson; and niece, Nicole (Shane) Crowder. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamarisk Crist Pryor, who died in 1979, and her father, Wilbur, who died in 1993.
