Helen Connors, 72, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, April 21, 2016, in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.
Helen Frantesl was born June 8, 1943, the daughter of Anton "Tony" and Anastasia (Pokorny) Frantesl, in Mahnomen, MN. She was raised on a farm near Mahnomen and graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1961. After high school, she move to St. Cloud where she attended St. Cloud Beauty College. In 1962, she moved to Moorhead and worked for Milan Beauty Shop.
On January 4, 1964, she was united in marriage to Joseph Connors, Jr., in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen. They established their home in Moorhead where, over the years, Helen worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant, as a daycare provider, and at Sanford Health in the laundry department.
Helen enjoyed gardening, traveling, watching movies, shopping and finding the best deals. Family was very important to Helen and she especially loved spending time with and sharing about her grandchildren. She also loved family reunions and get-togethers.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of fifty-two years, Joseph; her children, Joseph Connors, III, West Fargo, ND, Sheila (Paul) Trout, and Pamela (Todd) Lindfors, both Rogers, MN, and Vickie (Tom) Ruka, Wyoming, MN; grandchildren, Madison and Matthew Connors, Quinn Trout, Ryan, Jacqueline, and Josh Lindfors, and Corey, Cruz, Anna, and Natalie Ruka; sister, Barbara (Leroy) Jonas, St. Cloud, MN; brothers, Matthew (Cheryl) Frantesl, Beaver Falls, WI, John (Barbie) Frantesl, Zimmerman, MN, David (Diane) Frantesl, and Mark (Kathy) Frantesl, both St. Cloud, MN, and Mike (Candy) Frantesl, Chicago, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ann Desrocher; and niece and Goddaughter, Joanna Desrocher.
A Visitation for Helen will be Friday from 5 PM until 7 PM, with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 2 PM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Burial will take place in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Mahnomen.
