Helen I. Bjorndahl, 92, Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, July 23, 2005, in Moorhead Healthcare Center, Moorhead.
Helen Inez Bjorndahl was born on February 1, 1913, to Henry and Amanda Peterson, in Audubon, MN, and was raised on the family farm south of Audubon. Helen attended grade school in Lake Center, MN, and graduated from Audubon High School.
Helen married Nilmer E. Bjorndahl, on June 27, 1937, in Audubon, and they lived and farmed south of Hawley, MN. They moved to Moorhead in 1945, where Helen worked as a dietician at St. Ansgar Hospital.
Nilmer died May 24, 1986, and Helen continued to make her home in Moorhead.
Helen is survived by her three sons, Neil (Dora), Agua Dulce, CA, Glenn (Mary), Greenwell Springs, LA, and Erling (Erlis), Hawley; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by a son, David; a grandson, Christopher; three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation: Monday, July 25, 2005; 5 - 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 26, 2005; 2 PM
in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead.
